The Bureau of Animal Care and Control serves residents of the city of Pittsburgh, providing care, control, formula for home animals and wildlife situations.

Description of services:

The Bureau of Animal Care and Control supports the bureauci in the Department of Public Security, Other City Department and the Health Department of the Allegenary Region, both internal and wild. The bureau carries out urban and state codes that deal with animals. Asks quotes and appears in court. Helps keep our city gardens free of animals. Works with non-commercial animal shelters. Consults with other municipalities related to animal problems. And supports the Pennsylvania Gaming Committee in following the fierce virus.

Animal care and control officers are attracted to the recovery of pets / owner, and neighboring disputes over animals are solved, advise and teach animal owners their rights and support the removal of nature. The nature of the soothing place is defined as a place of wildness, or is going to cause property damage, or it poses a threat to the transmission or immediate attacks for community health or safety. The Bureau also provides quarantines to the removal of the killed animals and helps the police and the district lawyer’s office with humanitarian investigations.

Although animal care and control encourages a responsible pet / companion property, there are still more than 1,300 dogs and cats a year. Many are reunited with their homes

by partnership, the city has a local animal shelter.

Due to the forested mountain geography of our city, residents spread areas with areas with a number of wildlife (curls, racocoes, land pigs, foxes, coyotes, deer, turkey) living with a wild life page.

The city offers round-the-clock work. Animal care and control office hours from Monday to Friday, 7 to 3 in the morning, visit our feedback to us.

The operations continue until 11 pm, from 11 pm to 11 PM. Saturdays and Sundays are actions from 9 am to 5 in the morning and on the holidays between 8 am. All “After Hour” operations are for any emergency that the resident can have. Call Hour Number at 412-255-2935.

Responsible pet owners need to know that there are laws (ceremonies) to protect the owner of the pet and the community to protect the owner of the pet.

The “owner” includes every person who keeps or shelters and every person who allows the animal to be on their property (soil or house). This means that if you belong to an animal, whether you belong to it or not, you are responsible for its care, behavioral and well-being.
